Main nave 3

The third central span is dedicated to Jacob, depict in relief in the keystone of the vault (end of 15th century). 

The statues of the apostles Saint Simon the Zealot in the north and Saint James the Less in the south are sculptures made by Tommaso Rodari and they are placed on the pillars.

The tapestries show The presentation of Mary  and The death of Mary  .

The iconography of the first tapestry results from graphic elements inspired by  Albrecht Dürer’s engravings, the second tapestry  was designed by Giuseppe Arcimboldi from  Milan.

The saints in the vault’s medallions are painted by Gabetta e Fontana (1839):
